I went over board this weekend copping kicks. So Im gonna sell some on the reseller market. I used to hate resellers, until I realized the only way to stay in the "Sneaker game" is to play along. It makes no sense to wait in line for an hour, then when you reach the cashier your size is sold out. You can do two things, leave or buy an item in another size to sell/trade so you can get your size on the aftermarket.

I am a Karmaloop rep also (Repcode Kalik), so as my reselling venture progresses I will start selling T-shirts, and jackets and men's clothing that I acquire from Karmaloop. But never wore. Everything is deadstock, new, never even tried on. They make us cash out our rep points more frequently now, so I have to do this or lose points.

First up, Galaxy Nike sneakers that dropped All-Star Weekend in Orlando. Check out my Big Cartel Store - Ovaboard

Cali vs Flawda - Car Game

| Posted in , | Posted on 1/25/2010

I am STILL jealous of Cali's car game... The sad part is they go so hard and they have the toughest shit to go thru emissions and government testing of vehicles, but in Florida we did away with emmisions back in the 90's. I wish we had more dudes building runners instead of these cars just for "show".

Out in Cali:

Meanwhile in Florida at the MLK parade in St Pete:

This Black Monte was fiya though at the parade! Everything else... not so much.

C´etait un Rendezvous...

C'était un rendez-vous ("It was a date") is a short film made in 1976 by Claude Lelouch, showing a high speed drive through Paris. I remember seeing this a few years ago and thinking that dude was gully. Watched it again this morning... I Can only imagine pulling a stunt like this off in 2010, with the red light cameras and cops lurking with their radar in the bushes.

The film shows an eight-minute drive through Paris in the early hours of the morning, accompanied by sounds of a high-reving engine, gear changes and squealing tires. It starts in a tunnel of the Paris Périphérique at Porte Dauphine, with an onboard view from an unseen car exiting up on a ramp to Avenue Foch. Well-known landmarks such as the Arc de Triomphe, Opéra Garnier, and Place de la Concorde with its obelisk are passed, as well as the Champs-Élysées. Pedestrians are passed, pigeons sitting on the streets are scattered, red lights are ignored, one-way streets are driven up the wrong way, center lines are crossed, the car drives on the sidewalk to avoid a garbage truck. The car is never seen as the camera seems to be attached below the front bumper. Here, the driver gets out and embraces a young blonde woman as bells ring in the background, with the famous backdrop of Paris.

She must have been worth it!

In any instance I wonder if I can get a test-drive of a new sports car for 10-20 minutes, with Google Maps and/or GPS units... maybe I can pull something like this off in my city.

Adds this to my bucket-list.

Saving Hip Hop - 2009 edition

| Posted in , | Posted on 1/03/2010

I started doing a Saving Hip Hop once a week but put it off because so much newcomers, rookies, freshmen, whatever you wanna call the young upcoming rappers were getting my attention. So for overall who saved hip-hop in 2009. I'm gonna have to give it to all the rookies... I put anyone in this category that released a mixtape, album.. did a few shows and wasn't on some bullshit, that I personally enjoyed.

Wale, Curren$y, Pill, Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa (not a true rookie), Jay Electronica, Young Money (group), Drake and Nikki Minaj (standouts of YM), Chip tha Ripper, Young LA (not sure if he was a new rapper, but wasn't on my radar til Summer 09, and him and Dro held down the fort while TI did his bid), Black Dada (bias Florida newcomer).... way more to list.

One day I hope these newcomers become veterans and make the most of it. One day they too can be a part of this caricature of hip-hop history...

I'm not usually a fan of wide-body conversions. But this is what I call, serious business!
West Coast Customs did the body work.

... also a matching Challenger (which I prefer)

Curren$y & Diamond Supply Collab....

Curren$y who does the Fly Society clothing gig, is doing a collab with Diamond Supply Co.
The collab shirt should drop in February of 2010.
If you can't wait, you can still get some FS Jets Fall/Winter 2009 clothing.

Funny thing is sometimes even though you may be famous with one crowd...
...some dickhead bouncer at a club will still give you a hardtime.
Watch as Curren$y is held up from a performance with Wiz Khalifa.

BlakRoc Camaro...

I'm still bumping that BlakRoc album. It was one of my favorites for 2009. Only wish the BlakRoc Camaro was as affordable as the album. Since a vehicle can't be bought for under $10 at it succeeds at being extremely good quality like the album is. If you want to see more visit BlakRocCamaro.com

The Bay Area (Cali) - Muscle Car Scene...

Click Pic to see the whips and models "Maro Angels" of the Maro Boys

I wish my Bay area (Tampa Bay, FL) had a huge muscle car scene like Cali's Bay Area. The Florida scene is mostly tuners, high-risers (boxes, donks, bubbles), or cars just for music. Don't get me wrong we have clean cars, but I seem to be drawn to the Cali car clubs. In Florida it seems like every man is for himself, I used to visit Tampa Racing often (a tuner site) and now I read King Of The Street daily. While on KotS, I normally stay in the Cali fest just admiring their cars. From what I have seen in my area, there is no defined clubs that ride together or help with building or branding of clubs. Also 75%  of the cars, are show and no go.

Out in Cali one club that caught my eye is Maro Boyz. This crew as you can figure is mostly Camaros (a Corvette and a GTO also), and they do their thing big. Other Cali crews like Stangs Up, Street Actions also are on my radar... They attend the local sideshows, and put on a scene. These sideshows are impromptu sometimes, or planned events where they showboat their whips. I have come to love watching them on youtube and online video channels.

Quote: from Rides magazine - One thing in particular that stands out about Bay Area car culture is a love for restoring old cars. Their passion for perfection while doing so is intense enough to give the South a run for their money... And there’s no better place in the Bay to see the coolest whips than at sideshows: These impromptu car exhibitions originated in Oakland and have been going down in the surrounding inner cities since the mid-’80s. Every week, huge crowds gather and block off random intersections while car clubs and flossy individuals flex their flashy vehicular muscle for all to see. Chevelles, Mustangs, Cadillacs, Novas and damn near anything Buick produced back in the day will easily make the cut.

Classic Corvettes & Collectibles - Tarpon, FL

When I had a few days off, I visited  a car museum / high end used car lot  I always drive by. You have to pay $2 entry so I classify that as a museum. Classic Cars & Collectibles on the main thoroughfare in Tarpon. It is across the street from a Jamaican restaurant "Jerk Center" I visit often and I was dying to get in and see the cars.  Audio track behind the images (if you turn music on is Curren$y's - Tokyo Drift)

Mopar the forgotten Ol'Schools...

| Posted in , , | Posted on 11/25/2009

Dodge Demon & Aspen are two Mopar cars that catch my eye...

I’m a huge fan of Mopar muscle cars (Dodge / Plymouth). Everyone I hear in southern rap is up on the Chevies. Does anyone rep Ford ( Bueller, Bueller, anyone ? )

I always wanted a Baracuda but a decent one in driveable condition, starts at the price you could pay for a new Challenger SRT. In that instance, I’d take the Chally. But don't sleep, when everyone is on the Monte Carlo, Camaro, Impala, Nova tip, you could be unique for half the price. Come thru stuntin in a unique ride...

Some people may not get it, Kalik isn't into the flasy ish. I prefer functional over big chrome bling, don't get me wrong. I like 22's and under on my muscle cars (preferably 20's / 22's and a lowered suspension) but I would never get chrome rims, it would be machined or billet. These old Mopars have the same bolt pattern of the Ford Mustangs, so good staggered rims aren't hard to find. You can still go wild on the paint colorway, thats always an option or flat-black it. Do you... the point is to be unique. For go fast goods, people are stuffing the 6.1 Hemi's from the new SRT's under the hood. I wouldn't rush out to do that unless I blew the original v8 though (360 which is already a over 5 liters in the Aspen R/T)

The ride Kalik wants, but slammed and on 20's classic rims! Flat Black...
